There are a number of issues that can cause a production Lawson system to become unavailable to its users.

| Our Solution |
|
The Lawson Monitoring Tool is a Java based tool that monitors Lawson processes, Web servers, Application servers, disk apace, jobs and more, on a periodic basis. The tool sends email notification whenever any issues are detected and it can also send out escalation emails when the time to fix is above a threshold. This can be easily extended to sending out mobile SMS alerts to specific users to reduce any delay further.
All this is available in an easy to use web interface that has visual indicators as to the status of the system being monitored. The Lawson administrator can view all information at a single point rather than having to go into LID. Another advantage is that access to the web interface could be granted to persons other than the Lawson administrator, this would increase accountability and also help in keeping non-technical managers updated as to the health of the system.
