When we first launched Avaap Test Automation, the idea behind our first generation application was simple: alleviate the pain and strain that comes with system testing. Team Avaap has been heads down building a better Infor software testing experience, introducing new enhancements, more than 400 JumpStart scripts and additional user-friendly features.
Avaap Test Automation streamlines system testing during patch applications, upgrades, and installations, delivering a more accurate and efficient testing process. In October 2015 we announced some enhancements to our second generation version that included technology updates, faster script creation and ability to record and modify multiple scripts simultaneously.
We couldn’t be more excited to put this latest version out and further our quest in helping people love testing. If it’s been a while since you’ve looked at Avaap Test Automation, you’ll want to feast your eyes on the latest enhancements in ATA version 3.0:
Technology updates – ATA 3.0 is Lawson 10.0.8 and GHR 11 compatible.
User-friendly Recorder interface – Save time recording scripts with an easier user interface. Changes can be done on the fly and the adding of any automation features can be performed during recording. Additionally, a new favorites feature allows users to reuse common procedures during recording.
Change file locations – New find and replace feature allows for quicker changing of file locations and data.
Auto-Increment functionality – With our increment and store routines users can now set a range of numbers to use for playback. This alleviates the need to update data each time the test plan is run.
Enable multiple teams to share a test plan – With our store and save function users can now share and execute a test plan. With the store and save feature, the initial group of testers can run a portion of the plan and the second group can resume where the previous group left off.
Stop any Script or Plan – When a script returns an error ATA can now stop the entire plan or just skip the rest of the script.
Multi-step jobs can now be automated – ATA has a new action that will allow single or multiple step jobs to be automated.
Faster Print Manager Automation – ATA has decreased the amount of the time the engine spends within the print manager when automating the batch jobs.
We’re firm believers that automating as much of the testing process as possible improves reliability of the software, creates a better experience for business users and results in a more accurate test process. While most technology leaders understand the importance of software testing, it’s often not comprehensive due to lack of time and resources. Avaap Test Automation is designed to ensure your software meets high reliability, usability, security, and availability requirements, helping your organization optimize the investment in Infor software.
