Avaap has partnered with the State of Ohio on multiple data initiatives through the InnovateOhio Platform, with the goal of improving Ohioan’s lives and addressing state challenges with data.
The State of Ohio partnered with Avaap to create dashboards that provided residents with transparency in an accessible format. The dashboards, featured on coronavirus.ohio.gov, provides Ohio’s coronavirus data while protecting patient privacy. The dashboards have filter capabilities, and show important information such as testing sites, the virus’ impact demographically, how it impacts schools and children, and more. The dashboards give residents the ability to make data-backed decisions for themselves and their families.
Avaap’s analytics team partnered with the state to create a public-facing portal to provide citizen’s transparency into government spending. The Tableau-based portal gives residents the ability to visualize, filter, and drill-down into state agency, local government, schools, pensions, and salary data, pulled from more than 1,200 local municipalities. By using this Tableau solution, the state is saving approximately $900k per year. Interact with the dashboard here.
Ohio’s Top Jobs Dashboard
Ohio’s Office of Workforce Transformation previously provided an annual list of Ohio’s most in demand and critical jobs via a PDF file. The file was not interactive or user friendly and residents struggled to navigate the file or find information relevant to them. Avaap partnered with the state to create a modern, interactive dashboard using Tableau and Alteryx. Ohio residents can now more effectively search and take advantage of employment and career opportunities. Check it out here.
