HCM JumpStart: Streamline the Process of Migrating Employee Data to Global HR

Migrating employee data to Infor Global HR just got easier for Lawson software users. Avaap has developed an HCM JumpStart solution that can be leveraged by existing Lawson HR and payroll customers to easily, and repeatedly, migrate employee data to Global HR.

Avaap’s HCM JumpStart process leverages the tools and functionality that is available as standard in all Talent Management projects. Clients that have received and configured the tools will be able to execute employee data migrations for test preparation and go-live activities in an efficient, streamlined and regimented manner.

Some highlights of Avaap HCM JumpStart include:

  • Commonly used fields in Lawson HRM and Global HR employee records are pre-mapped, eliminating need for clients to perform the standard implementation task of mapping legacy fields to “new” fields when making initial preparations for data migration.
  • Cross-reference values are built/stored in Global HR PfiXRef tables, which are generally available and require no technical support to leverage. This simplifies the process of propagating changes.
  • Flexible execution, including:
    • Selection range from one record to  thousands
    • Configurable triggers
    • Report mode option
    • Configurable effective dating
    • Parameter driven.
  • Flows allow for a “batch” type processing, reducing the need to be present for each step in the process.
  • Provides a well-developed starting point for migration and cutover strategy development; tools are delivered with detailed steps which clients can amplify with their own processes.

Avaap HCM JumpStart streamlines processes, delivering valuable time savings. Where can you expect improvements?

  • Approximately 100 hours x2 resources (Functional + Technical) for initial development/mapping = 200 hours
  • Data migration execution timing is reduced ~30 percent
    • Approximately 100 hours per test cycle
      • Three (3) tests cycles = 90 hours
      • One (1) Go-Live = 30 hours
